President Gordon B. Hinckley said in a
worldwide leadership training meeting:
“I am convinced there is no other organization anywhere to match the Relief Society of this Church.
If they will be UNITED and speak with ONE VOICE,
Their STRENGTH will be INCALCULABLE!”

Relief Society - A Restoration of an Ancient Form
RELIEF SOCIETY
“A Restoration of an Ancient Pattern”
Although the name may be modern date,
the institution is of ANCIENT ORIGIN.
We were told by our martyred prophet
that the same organization EXISTED
in the church ANCIENTLY.”

For those who missed last night's Missionary Fireside - "Truth Restored: Musical Presentation" - missed one FANTASTIC Fireside...!!!
ReplyDeleteTHREE of our Sisters from our Ward participated in this fireside: Jennifer Oliverson sang with her 2 daughters: "Teach Me to Walk in the Light"; Gina Boyes sang "His Hands"; and Amy Hardman sang with her husband, Chad - "My Soul Hungered"...
It was so BEAUTIFULLY done! I am so glad I was able to attend...for I walked away...SO UPLIFTED and feeling so HAPPY!!! My decision to join the church nearly "37" years ago...was FILLED with DEEP GRATITUDE for having the privilege of discovering the TRUTH of our Father's Eternal Plan...! I am always in AWE of the GREAT GIFTS Father has given His children...
THANK YOU, Dear Sisters Oliverson, Boyes, and Hardman...for making MY EVENING SO COMPLETE!!! LOVED IT!!!
I was also at the Fireside and was so glad I went. The Spirit was strong and the music beautiful. We should have our K3 sisters who sung sing in our ward for everyone to hear how well they did. Thank you Jenny, Gina and Amy for sharing your talent.
ReplyDeleteLOVE your idea VERY MUCH, Debbie...I will email our Bishop...with your suggestion! (smile)
