This is a great little clip on the breaking of the ground for the ROME ITALY TEMPLE!
Joseph Smith once said that..."Our missionaries are going forth to different nations, and in Germany, Palestine, New Holland, Australia, the East Indies, and other places, the Standard of Truth has been erected; no unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing; persecutions may rage, mobs may combine, armies may assemble, calumny may defame, but the truth of God will go forth boldly, nobly, and independent, till it has penetrated every continent, visited every clime, swept every country, and sounded in every ear, till the purposes of God shall be accomplished and the Great Jehovah shall say the work is done" (History of the Church, 4:540)
TEMPLES are the RESULT of MISSIONARY WORK...This is truly an exciting MOMENT!
Sister Smith, Once again I'm grateful to you for posting something on this site. It's such an uplifting way to start my day -- to check and see what you have posted. I have a nephew serving his mission in Italy right now and it's truly a joy to see this clip and to feel the spirit surrounding this event. Thanks for taking time to share these things with all of us.
ReplyDeleteOh...Meridel...How incredibly EXCITING...for your nephew to be near such a "historic" moment...I wonder if he got to see the prophet while he was in Rome...I was showing Garvin the clip...and I said to him...."Just think...a REAL PROPHET of God is in ROME at this moment!" That just gives me "goose bumps" all over...just thinking about it...
